1. What information is collected?

Information You Provide

Kane collects personal information that you voluntarily provide to him. If you sign up for his newsletter, complete the contact form on the Site or email him, this will include your name and email address.

Please make sure that any personal information that you provide is true and accurate. Also, please notify Kane of any changes to such personal information.

Information Collected Automatically

Generally (but depending on your settings*), certain information will be automatically collected when you visit, interact with and use the Site. This includes device and usage information, for example, your IP address, browser and device characteristics, referring URLs, country and pages visited.

Kane may process your information to:

  1. provide his newsletter to you;

Kane may share (but never sell) your information with:

  • his web hosting provider (that hosts the Site). Currently, Kane engages Hostinger. Its privacy policy is available here;
  • his email service provider. Currently, Kane uses Titan. Its privacy policy is available here;    
  • his email marketing platform. Currently, Kane utilises MailerLite. Its privacy policy is available here;
  • cybersecurity services, web analytics and performance tools, and the like;
  • his legal advisors;
  • bodies (like law enforcement agencies and governmental regulatory agencies) and other parties when he reasonably believes that he is required to do so by law—for example, under a subpoena or court order.

This Site also employs reCAPTCHA (v3) to distinguish between human visitors and bots (or other forms of malicious software). It is only used to fight spam and abuse. The earlier versions asked users to decipher hard to read text or match images (e.g. to select all the squares with street signs). Please see the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Use which apply in respect to reCAPTCHA.

4. Where is information stored?

Kane resides in Australia and will generally access data from there.

As noted directly above, Kane’s current web hosting provider is Hostinger. Under his plan, the servers are located in Singapore.

MailerLite’s “services are hosted by a trusted and certified data storage center that is located in the European Union… [which] has information storage security certificate (ISO 27001).” For further information, please see MailerLite’s Security Statement.

The other third party supplies and data processes may be located in other jurisdictions.

The laws of these jurisdictions may differ from those where you live. Depending on where you live, the data protection laws in your country could be more comprehensive. Your personal information will be handled in accordance with this Policy.

5. Who is this Site for?

This Site is not directed to or intended for use by children under the age of 13. By using this Site, you represent to Kane that you are not under the age of 13. Further, minors should only use this Site with the appropriate permission from their parent or legal guardian.

People aged 16 or over may sign up for Kane’s newsletter. If you sign up for the newsletter, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old.

The privacy of children is especially important. You have the right to unsubscribe from Kane’s newsletter at any time. You can do this by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of a newsletter email.

The security of your personal information is of critical importance to Kane. He takes reasonable steps to ensure its safety. Please remember though that no method of electronic transmission or storage is fully secure and, as such, he cannot guarantee its absolute security.
